Quantum information theory

The group covers all aspects of quantum information theory and is active on the following topics:

  • Quantum communication: entropic inequalities and their applications to determine the theoretical limitations to the rates of the quantum protocols for communication and generation of shared secret keys
  • Quantum computing: development of quantum algorithms, in particular for machine learning
  •  Quantum generalizations of optimal mass transport and their applications in
    • Quantum statistical mechanics and many-body quantum systems
    • Quantum generative adversarial networks
    • Study of the computational capabilities of quantum computers
